Despite having just over a decade of professional experience, her achievements have positioned her among the most respected legal minds of her generation.

Her academic credentials reflect her passion for knowledge and professional growth. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Comparative Constitutional Law from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. She also earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Honours) from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and qualified as a Barrister at Law through the Sierra Leone Law School.

Additionally, she has pursued specialized training in areas including Oil and Gas Exploration and public sector administration.

Throughout her legal career, Madam Martina has demonstrated remarkable competence in both civil and criminal litigation before the Superior Courts of Judicature in Sierra Leone. Her work as a prosecutor has contributed to numerous successful convictions in significant criminal matters, earning her a reputation for diligence, professionalism and legal excellence.

Beyond the courtroom, Martina has provided valuable legal advisory services to several key national institutions, including the Sierra Leone Legal Information Institute, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), the Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) and the State Counsel Department of the Ministry of Justice.

One of her most notable contributions came during her tenure at the Financial Intelligence Unit, where she was part of a team of experts responsible for developing the National Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment Action Plan. Her expertise also proved invaluable during the constitutional review process, where she conducted comparative studies of constitutions across the sub-region.

Her research contributed to the inclusion of an independent chapter on Information and Communication in the proposed constitutional reforms for Sierra Leone.

In recognition of her growing influence and professional competence, the Board of the National Revenue Authority appointed her Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs in November 2018.
