The Secretary General of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and former lawmaker, Hon. Paran Umar Tarawally, has donated educational materials worth thousands of Leones to supporters and vulnerable members of the party.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Secretary General, Lans Coker extended greetings from Hon. Paran and reaffirmed his commitment to always supporting party loyalists and those in need. He added that the donation was intended to support the Free Quality Education project championed by His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio and his wife, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio. The President of PUT Foundation, Madam Finda Bangura, emphasised the significance of education and encouraged parents to ensure the donated items are properly utilised. She said the Secretary General is focused on empowering children through education.

One of the beneficiaries, Madam Maratu, on behalf of the others, commended the Secretary General of the SLPP for the donation. She assured the delegation that the school materials would be properly used.

The donation climaxed with songs of praise by hundreds of SLPP foot soldiers, who celebrated and chanted “Hon. Paran.” Image description
